Search In Lafayette for man accused of attacking a police officer

LAFAYETTE, Calif. (KTVU) -- Contra Costa County authorities are looking for a man wanted in connection to several crimes, including assaulting a peace officer, said police.
Alexander William Anderson, 28, is accused of a series of property crimes, and an assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer in Lafayette, according to authorities.
Anderson is described as a white male, 5'10" and 160 pounds, with black hair and hazel eyes.
He has previously given officers the false name, "Efron Curiel," said Lafayette Police.
Anderson has lived in Antioch, Bay Point, Bethel Island, Concord and Pittsburg.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts, is asked to call the Lafayette Police Department, through dispatch at (925) 646-2441.
A $175,000 warrant has been issued for his arrest, said police.
The circumstances surrounding the alleged assault on a peace officer has not been released.
