Sewage backup closes Daly City school for the day

DALY CITY, Calif. (KTVU) - A Daly City school is closed Tuesday due to an issue with the sewage system. 

According to Bernie Vidales, superintendent for Jefferson Elementary School District, Westlake Elementary School is shut down due to a severe sewage backup.

They have shut it down out of an abundance of caution.

Portable toilets are on order and are being brought in Tuesday as they work on clearing the blockage.
