SF demonstrators call on Citigroup to defund Dakota Access Pipeline; 12 arrested

San Francisco police say 12 people were arrested Monday morning in a protest over the controversial oil pipeline being built in North Dakota.

The demonstrators took over the lobby of the Citigroup Center on Sansome Street in the Financial District.
Organizers want the bank to stop funding the Dakota Access Pipeline.

Meanwhile, in North Dakota authorities are investigating a 400-acre fire near the pipeline protest camp.

FOX News reports it’s still unclear if it was deliberately set or if it was related to the protest a few miles away
