SF police investigate second shooting in Pacific Heights this week

SAN FRANCISCO - A man was shot in San Francisco's Lafayette Park early this morning after another man asked to use his cellphone and then tried to rob him, police said.
The 20-year-old man was walking in the park in the city's Pacific Heights neighborhood around 2:15 a.m. when he was approached by another man in his mid 20s who asked to use his phone.
When the victim pulled his phone out, the two men struggled over it and the suspect pulled out a gun.
The victim ran away, and the suspect shot him as he fled. The victim was taken to a hospital but is expected to survive his injuries.
The suspect remained at large as of this morning and police did not release a detailed description of him.
This is the second shooting in the area of Lafayette Park over the past few days.
Police are searching for two suspects in a shooting that happened Saturday night in San Francisco's Pacific Heights neighborhood.
Officers went to the area of Laguna and Clay streets near Lafayette Park around 8:52 p.m. Saturday to investigate the shooting, a police spokeswoman said.
One victim, a man, was taken to the hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening. Two suspects are outstanding, but police are following up on leads, the spokeswoman said.
