SF police officer hospitalized in wake of crash during pursuit

A Daly City police officer is in the hospital in the wake of a crash that happened this morning during a pursuit of a suspect into San Francisco, police said.

At about 11:40 a.m. Daly City officers responded to a report of suspects possibly casing parked vehicles at the Serramonte Center in Daly City.

The officers located a vehicle that may have been associated with the alleged offenses and gave chase on northbound Interstate Highway 280 toward San Francisco, police said.

A Daly City motorcycle officer was involved in a solo crash in the vicinity of Highway 280 and Alemany Boulevard. The officer was taken to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and is in stable condition, police said.

Shortly after the officer's crash, the suspect vehicle was involved in a collision on the Alemany Boulevard off-ramp from Highway 280, police said. No one was injured.

Police arrested two suspects shortly afterward in a nearby San Francisco neighborhood, according to police.

The two suspects were arrested on suspicion of auto burglary and evading an officer.
