SFPD release video of 'Grab & Go Bandits' in action

(San Francisco Police Department)

San Francisco police have released surveillance video of a brazen daytime theft that occurred late last month in the city’s Upper Fillmore District.

According to police, three suspects entered a retail store at 5:05 p.m. on December 28th at the 2100 block of Fillmore. As soon as the suspects enter the store, two of the three can be seen on the video grabbing handbags directly off the display shelf.

A store clerk then tries to stop one of the suspects as they file out of the store one-by-one, but was unsuccessful.

The value of the stolen merchandise totals at over $1,700.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the San Francisco Police Anonymous Tip Line at (415) 575-4444 or Text A Tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD.
