PHILADELPHIA, Penn. (KTVU) - “She never gave up”: Devon Still announces his 5-year -old daughter is finished with her cancer treatments.
The former NFL player tweeted that his daughter “beat cancer” Tuesday, after a long fight with neuroblastoma.
She was diagnosed with Stage-4 neuroblastoma in the summer of 2014, in December of 2015 her father announced she was cancer-free. She started her final cancer treatment on Friday and finished it last night, then she was discharged from Children’s hospital of Philadelphia.
Millions of people have been rooting for the pair, especially after doctors gave Leah just a 50 percent chance of survival.
Last week, Devon Still signed a futures deal with the Houston Texans, he is a defensive tackle.
