Shelter dogs airlifted to new homes

PINOLE, Calif. - 29 shelter dogs from Contra Costa County Animal Services, were airlifted to Minnesota Thursday morning.

The transfer is a partnership between CCAS, UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Humane Society in Minnesota.

Overcrowding is an ongoing issue at CCAS and the partners in Minnesota have already identified homes for the dogs.
