Sheriff's deputies say they chased stolen SUV that crashed into Oakland church
OAKLAND, Calif. (KTVU) - An SUV plowed into a church Thursday afternoon in East Oakland, but no one was injured.
Alameda County Sheriff's Department say they were chasing a stolen Dodge Durango around 2 p.m. when it crashed into Pan de Vida Church at 61st and International Boulevard. The church was badly damaged.
A sheriff's spokesman says a 39-year-old suspect fought with deputies after the crash, but was tasered and arrested.
