SJPD investigating homicide at Mount Pleasant High

San Jose police detectives are investigating a homicide on the campus of Mount Pleasant High School early Tuesday morning.

San Jose Police officers were called to the school at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. When they arrived on scene they found the body of a man who had been shot at least once. Police have not released a motive in this case. 

The identity of the victim will not be released until the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the victim’s identity and notified next to kin.   

East Side Union High School District Chris Funk said the body is not that of a student or staff member. He said the body was found near an entrance to the school on Rocky Mountain Drive school gate, although the main address of the school is on 1750 South White Road.
