SJPD rescues puppy from storm drain

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KTVU) - A pint-sized pooch has the San Jose Police to thank after getting rescued from inside a storm drain over the weekend. 

On Saturday an officer on patrol just happened to hear the puppy crying.  

After looking around for a bit, the officer discovered that the puppy was stuck inside a storm drain on Sebastian Borello Drive.

The officer called for back-up and the three officers were able to haul the puppy safety,

It's not clear at this time how the puppy got stuck in the drain, but indications are that the dog is doing just fine.
