Snow in the Sierra causes problems for drivers

Rain in the Bay Area translated into snow in the Sierra this weekend.

The snow created problems from drivers on Interstate 80 and Highway 50.

One of the worst examples was a driver who ran into a Cal Trans truck. Fortunately, the Cal Trans worker was already out trying to help another driver get out of a ditch. No one was seriously hurt.

And the CHP is reminding everyone who might be headed for the mountains to remember to slow down when there's snow falling.

Also, carry chains, and remain alert behind the wheel.
