Southwest plane rolls off runway in Nashville

A Southwest plane ran off a runway in Nashville Tuesday evening, injuring at least three people according to media reports.

The plane was landing at Nashville International Airport at about 5:45pm when the accident happened. 

Witnesses say the Boeing 737 was taxiing when it left the tarmac and ended up in a grassy area. Three people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The plane was arriving from Houston and 133 people were on board. 

In a statement released by Southwest, the airline said "passengers and five crew members were safely transported into the airport, and we are currently working to support their needs. The Safety of our Customers and Employees remains our primary focus."
