Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard out for Game 3

Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard will not play in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals on Saturday.

San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard will not play in Saturday's game against the Warriors after re-injuring his left ankle.

Coach Gregg Popovich told ESPN, "In the end, I guess it's my decision." and Leonard "is not thrilled that he's not playing, but he's not ready".

Leonard hurt the ankle in the third quarter of Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals when he came down on Zaza Pachulia's foot after shooting a long jumper. San Antonio lost 113-111 without him, squandering a 20-point halftime lead.

He was also ruled out for Game 2.

Leonard is one of three finalists for the NBA'S MVP title.

The Warriors are unbeaten in the postseason, and have 2-0 series lead to San Antonio.

Game 3 will be played in San Antonio on Saturday. There is no word on Leonard's status for Game 4, which is Monday night in San Antonio.
