Stolen car hits, injures Dublin officer

A Dublin police motorcycle officer is hospitalized, after he was hit by a stolen car Wednesday morning.

The officer was hit by the car on Dublin Boulevard just after 10 a.m.

Dublin CHP says one of its officers was chasing a stolen car, when that car made a u-turn in front of the police officer.

That officer suffered a possible broken leg, but KTVU is told he was conscious and talking.

He was taken to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley.

Two people, including the driver, were taken into custody.

A man and a woman are still on the loose.

There is a perimeter set up to track them down, and eastbound Dublin Boulevard is closed for the accident investigation, so it's a good idea to avoid that area.
