Storm knocks out power to thousands

KTVU - PG&E crews were working to restore power Thursday afternoon to customers experiencing storm related power outages.

As of 4:00 p.m. there were 1,878 customers without power in the Bay Area.

  • San Francisco: 367
  • Peninsula: 155
  • North Bay: 118
  • East Bay: 994
  • South Bay: 244
  • Total: 1,878  

PG&E urged customers to stay safe and stay away from downed power lines. PG&E said some trees may have been weakened due to the drought and more vulnerable to falling in wet and windy weather.
