Suspect bites San Jose police officer on arm, drags officer 30 feet in car
SAN JOSE, Calif. (KTVU) - A San Jose police officer was bitten on the arm and dragged about 30 feet before the suspect took off and fled the scene, police said.
Officer Gina Tepoorten said the officer stopped a "suspicious vehicle" on Monday about 11:30 p.m. on Alma Avenue at Almaden Boulevard.
When the officer went over to the driver's side window, the man "bit the officer on the arm and drove off," dragging the officer about 30 feet, Tepoorten said.
The suspect has not been caught. The officer was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries and released. The vehicle was later located unoccupied on Lansford Avenue in San Jose.
