Suspect in custody after bomb threat on VTA

Law enforcement officers have arrested 42-year-old man who allegedly threatened to carry out a suicide bombing on a Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority vehicle Wednesday morning, transit agency officials said.

Jonathan Keim made a phone call and sent an email to VTA officials sometime after 10 a.m. stating that he planned to execute the bombing on one of the agency's vehicles, VTA spokeswoman Stacey Hendler Ross said.

All VTA vehicles were stopped and are searched, but are now running as normal.
