Suspect sought in fatal Vallejo liquor-store shooting

VALLEJO (KTVU) -- Vallejo police are searching for a suspect wanted in connection to a fatal Tuesday afternoon shooting at a liquor store. 

Vallejo Police Department say they responded to a call of a shooting with a male victim on the ground at around 1 p.m.  The incident occurred at a Bottle Shop liquor store located at 2154 Springs Road.

The victim received medical attention after officers located him and secured the area. 

He was then transported to a local hospital for treatment, but ultimately died of his injuries, according to authorities.

Police describe the victim as a 19-year-old Vallejo resident.  Their identification is being withheld until next of kin are notified. 

It was not clear what prompted the dispute, but a multi-agency search for the suspect is being conducted. The suspect has not yet been located. 

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male adult, late teens-early twenties with dark puffy hair, approximately 5'-5" tall with a thin build.  He was last seen wearing a black hoodie jacket, white t-shirt and blue jeans.
