Suspected flasher arrested in Fremont
FREMONT, Calif. (KTVU) -- Fremont Police announced that they have arrested a registered sex offender on suspicion of flashing himself.
Officers from the department's Street Crimes Unit took 42-year-old Richard Dawson of San Francisco, into custody, on Thursday.
Detectives had been investigating several recent reports of a man exposing himself to women, said police.
According to authorities, detectives eventually identified Dawson as the suspect.
An arrest warrant was issued, and on Thursday, plainclothes officers followed Dawson from San Francisco to Southland Mall in Hayward, police said.
