Teen arrested after woman carjacked at Rockridge BART station

Pittsburg police arrested a teen on Saturday night after a woman's vehicle was carjacked at a BART station at Rockridge in Oakland, according to police.  

The teen was arrested after crashing the stolen car and trying to flee from the scene, BART police said in a statement.

The woman was carjacked at 9 p.m. on Friday while she was in her car in the west lot of the Rockridge BART station when a male suspect approached and pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at her, police said.

The woman got out of her vehicle and the suspect and a male accomplice then drove away in it, police said.

According to police, the suspect with the gun was described as a Hispanic man in his early 20s and wearing a black hooded jacket.
