Thousands of Bay Area college students graduating on Saturday

Thousands of college students across the Bay Area will graduate on Saturday.

Commencements are being held at schools, including UC Berkeley, Mills College, California State University, East Bay and Sonoma State.

About 5,800 students will take part in the ceremony at Cal's Memorial Stadium. The keynote speaker is Wendy Kopp, who founded Teach for America in 1990.

Illinois Congresswoman Lauren Underwood is the featured speaker at Mills College.

She will be introduced by East Bay Congresswoman and Mills College graduate, Barbara Lee.

Sonoma State is hosting 6 ceremonies this weekend, 3 on each day.

Cal State East Bay is holding an event Saturday for its College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences.
