Traffic slow after skateboarder taken off Bay Bridge: CHP

A skateboarder was taken off the Bay Bridge Thursday morning for either cruising along or walking with the board, heading into San Francisco with the rest of the morning commute, according to a CHP dispatcher.

The dispatcher said it wasn't clear if the skateboarder was actually riding the board or carrying it, but either way, pedestrians are not allowed on the bridge. The skateboarder was placed into handcuffs, but it's unclear if charges will be filed.

The incident was reported about 6:30 a.m., but the traffic in the area was extremely slow.
