Travis Air Force Base sends aid to Puerto Rico

Six HH-I-60 medevac Blackhawk helicopters sent from Travis Air Force Base to assist with the humanitarian efforts in Puerto Rico have arrived. 

Team Medevac was deployed on Wednesday from Solano County and is comprised of more than 70 personnel. The helicopters are part of the 101st Airborne Division. 

The team is providing disaster relief in support of federal hurricane relief efforts. The first relief mission was conducted on Friday. 


The workforce includes doctors, nurses paramedics and emergency management technicians.
