TV Guide Magazine names 'The Simpsons" most powerful TV series in history
'TV Guide Magazine' this week is announcing that Fox's 'The Simpsons' is the most powerful t-v series in history.
This is all a part of its inaugural power issue, which is chock full of the most powerful people in television.
To commemorate the occasion, a special Simpsons illustration was created for 'TV Guide Magazine.'
'The Simpsons' started back in 1987 as a series of shorts on 'The Tracey Ullman show' on Fox before eventually becoming its own series.
It is currently the longest-running American sitcom; longest-running American animated program; and the longest-running American scripted prime-time television series.
In May 2015, Fox officially renewed the show for seasons 27 and 28, taking the show into the year 2017.
