Union City woman accused of killing husband

A Union City woman is accused of killing her husband.

Union City Police responded to a report of a person being shot inside their home in the 4300 block of Feldspar Ct. around 10:15 p.m. Sunday.

When they arrived they found a 57-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, said Lt. Doug Calcagno.

Two other people were at the home and police took a woman into custody. They later learned the woman was the man's wife.

Neighbor Trish Pulido said she's lived next door for many years and there were no outward signs of domestic violence - despite police visiting the home many years ago for a domestic disturbance call. The couple in question have three grown children, who now live out of state. "They were a very nice couple," Pulido said. "No problems, whatsoever."

She said she heard what sounded like rapid tennis balls coming from inside her neighbor's house, which turned out to be gunshots.
