USGS reports 4.1 earthquake in Napa County

NAPA COUNTY, Calif. (KTVU) - The USGS reports a 4.1 earthquake hit Napa County on Thursday evening.

The earthquake was reported at 7:53 p.m. 6 miles east-northeast of Yountville and 9 miles north of Napa, at a depth of 5.5 miles.

Although it wasn't a huge quake, plenty of people felt it - mostly in the North Bay, San Francisco and Oakland. KTVU's Noelle Walker spoke with people who were getting dinner in Napa when they felt the earthquake. They said they felt some mild shaking.

This smaller earthquake comes about nine months after a 6.0 magnitude quake hit the region.

At this point, there are no reports of damages and additional details have not been released.
