Vallejo PD search for 2 people connected to deadly hit-and-run

VALLEJO, Calif. (KTVU) - VALLEJO, Calif. (KTVU) - Vallejo officers are searching for two people who they believe have information regarding a deadly hit-and-run.

According to Vallejo Police, officers responded Aug. 11 at 11:07 p.m. after a vehicle hit a pedestrian in the 400 block of Sonoma Blvd.

Matthew David Bennett, 47, of Richmond had been hit and killed by a car traveling south on Sonoma Boulevard.

Police spoke with witnesses and began searching for a vehicle and driver. They found the vehicle believed to be connected to the crash on Thursday abandoned in Vallejo. They later arrested a Richmond resident suspected of being involved in the incident.

Vallejo police are stills searching for two people they believe have information regarding Bennett's death.
