Vehicle hits mother, baby in San Pablo crosswalk
SAN PABLO, Calif. (KTVU) - A mother and her 7-month-old baby were hit by a vehicle while crossing the street in San Pablo.
The 31-year-old woman was pushing her baby in a stroller as they crossed the street in a crosswalk when the vehicle hit them. The child was secured in the stroller at the time.
They were hit by the vehicle Tuesday at 12:10 p.m. in the area of El Porta Drive at Mission Bell Drive in San Pablo.
According to San Pablo Police, the mother sustained non-life threatening injuries while the baby was seriously injured. They were both taken to a nearby hospital.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured and stayed at the scene to cooperate with the investigation.
At this time, alcohol and drug impairment is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
