VIDEO: Watch a baby owl stare down a sheriff's deputy
(KMSP) -- Sheriff's officials in Boulder County, Colorado can perhaps ruffle a speeding motorist, but apparently, not a baby owl.
A Boulder County sheriff’s deputy encountered a baby Northern Saw Whet Owl west of Boulder on July 23, and the owl wasn't alarmed, in fact, it appeared to stick around for a photo op.

"Our deputies were driving when they were stopped in their tracks by this young Northern Saw Whet Owl. After some curious head twisting (on both sides) it flew safely away. ?#DeputiesLoveBabyOwls?," Boulder County sheriff's officials posted on their Facebook page.
