Watsonville teen stabbed Saturday night, two suspects at large

A Watsonville teenager is recovering in the hospital after being stabbed repeatedly Saturday night, police said.

At 11:36 p.m., officers responded to a report of someone being chased by a group in a gold Toyota Camry near Safeway at 2010 Freedom Blvd.

All subjects left the scene, but at the same time that officers arrived, a 19-year-old man turned up at the Watsonville Community Hospital with several non-life-threatening stab wounds.

The man refused to provide details of his attack to police.

Witnesses told police that a male and female duo had attacked the man and fled on mountain bikes.

The male suspect is described as 5 foot 7 inches tall with a medium build and wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt. The female suspect had light skin and was reportedly wearing dark clothing, police said.

The victim took himself to the hospital.

Officers have not found the suspects, but believe the incident is gang-related.
