WIldfire near Napa County grows to 4,700 acres

Some people forced from their homes by the Cold Fire burning near Lake Berryessa are getting to return home Thursday morning. 

About 100 residents who live in Golden Bear Estates are allowed to return home now that the fire has moved past their homes. 

The wildfire, burning along the Napa County border near Lake Berryessa, continues to grow and now stands at 4,700 acres.

The Cold Fire off of Highway 128 west of Winters in Yolo County is only 10 percent contained.

There have been no reports of injuries or any structures damaged, according to Cal-Fire.

The fire is in grass and wooded areas that are difficult to access. 

Smoke can be seen as far as Vacaville. Highway 128 is closed from the Monticello Dam to Pleasants Valley Road. 

The Red Cross has opened a small evacuation center in Winters for evacuees at 700 Main Street. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
