Here's the Rap Sheet for Jan. 4, 2016:

WOMAN CHARGED IN BUSINESSMAN'S DEATH: A woman has been arrested and charged with murdering the owner of an Emeryville kiteboarding shop by intentionally running him over with a car, authorities said today.

Ella Coleman, 24, ran over and killed Royce Vaughn, 47, on May 29 after the two got into a dispute after he allegedly solicited her in an act of prostitution, police said.

Vaughn, who owned KGB Kiteboarding in Emeryville, parked his Toyota FJ Cruiser on the 800 block of 28th Street in West Oakland, Oakland police wrote in an affidavit.

At some point, Vaughn got out of the driver's side of his vehicle and Coleman got into the driver's seat, police said. She "intentionally drove over the victim," authorities said.

Vaughn died.

Oakland police initially arrested Coleman in August for an unrelated robbery. In a later interview with investigators, she admitted to running Vaughn over, authorities said.

Alameda County prosecutors have charged Coleman with murder and an enhancement for using a vehicle as a deadly weapon. She has a prior conviction for being an accessory after the fact, court records show.

She is being held without bail at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin.

SFPD SEEKS KILLER: San Francisco police asked for the public's help today in identifying a man who was caught video assaulting a 74-year-old man who later died.

The victim, North Beach artist Stuart Jackson, was standing near a bus stop at the corner of Van Ness Avenue and Market Street about 2 p.m. Dec. 5 when he was approached by a man who began assaulting him without provocation, police said.

During the attack, the victim fell and hit his head on the cement. He died at a hospital from his injuries.

The assailant is black, mixed race or Latino, 25 to 35 years old, 6 feet tall with a muscular build.
