Woman shot to death in San Jose, bringing homicide count this year to 26

A woman was shot to death in San Jose late Monday night, police said, bringing the homicide total this year to 16.

Sgt. Enrique Garcia said officers were called out to the 5200 block of Monterey Road just before 10 p.m. She had been shot at least once. 

The motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation.  No suspects have not been identified or apprehended.
