Woman struck and killed in San Jose hit and run: police

A woman was killed Monday morning in what San Jose police are describing as a fatal hit and run.

Sgt. Enrique Garcia said officers responded to N. First at East Rosemary streets at 12:46 a.m., where she was suffering from injuries consistent with being hit by a car. There was no suspect vehicle in sight.

The woman who was struck was taken to the hospital, he said, where she later died. 

Police have no suspect or vehicle information to release. 

She is the city's 22nd pedestrian to die in a collision in 2018.
