Warriors host holiday party for elementary students

SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU) -- The Oakland Warriors hosted a holiday gathering Friday for some San Francisco youngsters Friday, part of the team's effort to give back to the community.

The entire Warriors roster, coaching staff and front office managers participated in the Warriors Holiday Fest for 200 elementary students, which include kids from Charles R. Drew College Prep Academy, George Washington Carver Elementary School and Joseph Lee Recreation Center.

The event was held at the Bayview Opera House and featured arts and crafts, cooking stations, games and a basketball clinic.

"This time of year you want to be thankful for what you've been blessed with," player Stephen Curry said. "The Warriors organization player try to find ways to impact the community."
