South Bay leaders back Measure A

On Wednesday, the mayor of San Jose, along with Santa Clara County leaders announced their support for Measure A. The proposed sales tax increase is on the November ballot and would generate 330-million dollars annually for the next five years. It aims to replace, in part, federal funding that's being cut.

Thursday morning features showers clearing to afternoon dry skies. An offshore flow sets up on Friday through Sunday with gusty offshore winds and warmer temperatures Inland in the low 80s with low humidity.

Arrest made in VTA station assault

Santa Clara County Sheriff's detectives have arrested a man in connection to the violent assault at a Valley Transportation Authority station that left another person hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
