West to Northwest winds will increase though the day and peak Friday afternoon/evening. Expect 20-40 mph wind gusts with some peak gusts of 50 mph. Daytime high temps will range between 67 in Pacifica to 94 Inland toards Discovery Bay and Brentwood. Temperatures cool to slightly below average highs on Saturday, but the wind will continue! By next week, Wednesday, temperatures make their way back to seasonal and above average highs.

San Jose police union calls for internal affairs reforms

The union representing San Jose police officers is calling for reforms to the internal affairs process, where it says officers lack training. The lack of formal training was recently discovered during an investigation involving one officer. The city disputes many of the union's claims.
