This weekend the San Francisco Film Preserve and the Tenderloin Museum are celebrating the history of silent film in the Tenderloin neighborhood. The event this Saturday at the Great American Music Hall will feature programs that explore the neighborhood's silent film era along with live music performances. The neighborhood played an important role in film distribution in the first half of the 20th century.
