Festival Napa Valley opens with celebration of culture, music, and art

Festival Napa Valley kicks off its summer season celebrating a vibrant blend of food, visual arts, and music, showcasing intimate concerts, and gourmet tastings and events. Vice President of Education & Community Lissa Gibbs sat down with KTVU"s Frank Mallicoat to talk about the festival’s mission to bring community and creativity together through dynamic programming and cultural experiences.

Big movies hit the big screen this Summer

Jurassic World Rebirth, Superman, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps are hitting the big screen this month. The live-action movies are expected to bring in the crowds. Local film expert and Orinda Theater owner, Derek Zemrak, about what we should expect. One thing is for sure, Superman's sidekick Krypto, makes its first movie appearance. Oakland Zoo evacuated due to vegetation fire

A two-alarm vegetation fire on Saturday prompted an evacuation at the Oakland Zoo out of an abundance of caution. Oakland Fire Department units responded just after 5 p.m. to the fire burning in the area of 98th and Stanley avenues, near Interstate Highway 580 and the western edge of the Oakland Zoo.

Soft start, bright finish

Low clouds will clear back to the beach with mostly sunny skies away from the coast this afternoon. Temperatures will range from upper 50s in Pacifica to low 70s in Fremont to low 80s in Concord. Subtle changes expected for Sunday.
