Mostly sunny, unseasonably warm weather is expected this afternoon. Temperatures will range from upper 60s to upper 70s inland. Even a tad warmer for your Bay Area Sunday. A Coastal Flood Advisory for low lying areas adjacent to the Bay remains in place until 2 PM.

Olympic gold medalist and Bay Area native Kristi Yamaguchi kicked off the holiday season by cutting the ribbon at her namesake ice rink at City Center Bishop Ranch. Proceeds benefit her Always Dream foundation, which provides children from low-income families with high-quality books and reading support.

CHP searching for suspect following pursuit in the East Bay

Authorities in the East Bay are looking for a suspect they have been following since about 4 p.m. on Friday. The suspect Lexus car drove erratically through multiple East Bay counties before one passenger bailed and was detained. Meanwhile, another person in the vehicle vacated the car and entered an apartment complex.

Low clouds are forecast to return tonight and more so into Saturday morning in the North Bay and Bay Area as a shallow marine layer remains in place. Offshore flow will increase slightly in the higher terrain overnight, further drying out conditions. However, recent rainfall and generally weak north/northeast winds will limit fire weather concerns. Warmer conditions are forecast for Saturday. Temperatures both days with be 5-15 degrees above normal for this time of year with mid 70s to mid 80s across the interior with the Bay Shoreline and the Santa Cruz region reaching into the low 70s to low 80s.

Supreme Court weighs in on SNAP funding | West Coast Wrap

The Supreme Court on Friday granted the Trump Administration's emergency appeal to temporarily block a court order to fully fund SNAP payments amid the ongoing federal government shutdown. That ruling came shortly after a federal appeals court declined to suspend court orders requiring the administration to fund the program. Meanwhile Democrats proposed a compromise to reopen the government that was quickly rejected by Republican legislators.

SNAP benefits restored Friday, after CA and other states' sue Trump administration

People woke up Friday to discover that their November SNAP benefits had suddenly appeared on their debit cards. The Trump Administration is appealing judges' orders to fund the food assistance program during the government shutdown. The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced Friday it would fully fund November benefits for more than 40 million recipients nationwide.

3 candidates vie for San Mateo County sheriff position

The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors narrowed a crowded list of candidates to replace ousted Sheriff Christina Corpus to three people. Ken Binder is the Gilroy Police chief and former Santa Clara County Undersheriff; David Lazar is a retired SFPD assistant chief; and Brian Travis is the Chief of Police and Director of Public Safety for the Solano Community College Dist.
