Tulsa County reported 261 confirmed new cases on Monday, a one-day record high, and another 206 cases on Tuesday. By comparison, during the week before the June 20 Trump rally, there were 76 cases on Monday and 96 on Tuesday.

The 7-2 outcome is at least a short-term victory for Trump, who has strenuously sought to keep his financial records private.

The White House repeated its calls today to have schools reopen in the fall for in-person, daily instruction. The topic was the main focus of a White House Coronavirus Task Force briefing in Washington on Wednesday. 

“I disagree with @CDCgov on their very tough & expensive guidelines for opening schools,” Trump tweeted Wednesday. “While they want them open, they are asking schools to do very impractical things.”

Hours before the event, protesters blocked a road leading to the monument. Authorities worked to move the demonstrators, mostly Native Americans protesting that South Dakota's Black Hills were taken from the Lakota people against treaty agreements.
