Hazmat team investigating flaring due to power outage at Richmond Chevron refinery

Flaring at the Richmond Chevron refinery went on for several hours on Monday before it was stopped just before 9 p.m. Chevron says they are experiencing intermittent flaring. No action from the public was needed after a partial power outage at the facility was to blame. A hazmat team responded and is investigating the smoke that billowed into the air.
