Skiers, snowboarders preparing for massive Sierra storm
The Sierra Snow Lab says the latest storm expected to hit the Lake Tahoe area this week could make its way into the top 10 snowiest days since 1970. According to the lab, the snowiest days on record is a tie between March 1982 and December 2021 with a total of 39 inches, but researchers with the lab say this blizzard could make for a new record. KTVU's Alex Savidge and Cristina Rendon speak with Kevin "Coop" Cooper, Communications Director for Cali-Pass Resorts about the threat the storm poses for skiers and snowboarders hoping to take advantage of the snow and how long some may have to wait to hit the slopes.
