City announces Coliseum as new venue for Oakland Roots and Soul
In a major move for the Oakland Roots and Soul Sports Clubs, the soccer teams will now be calling the Oakland Coliseum their home base starting in 2025. The change takes the team from their current home field in Hayward to the city of their namesake. Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao and Oakland Roots Sports Club Co-Founder Edreece Arghandiwal joins KTVU's Alex Savidge and Crystal Bailey live in studio for more on what the huge decision means for the city and for Oakland sports.
