
Doctors recommending RSV vaccine for pregnant patients
With the start of fall, the threat of RSV increases. RSV is a common respiratory virus with cold-like symptoms that can be mild for most. However, it's particularly dangerous for babies, as it's the leading cause of hospitalizations for infants nationwide. We spoke with Dr. Vanitha Mohta, an OBGYN from Kaiser Permanente, about how the hospital system is offering the newly approved RSV vaccine to pregnant patients.
