SF car-share company connected to vehicles rented in New Year's Day attacks
The FBI said Thursday the attacker in the deadly New Orleans New Year's Day incident was an American citizen inspired by ISIS, who rented a vehicle from the car-sharing service Turo, which is based in San Francisco. Turo posted a statement on social media Thursday saying the driver, likely did not have a criminal record which would have triggered an alert when he rented the car in Houston.
