Mailman, 'Postman Jeff', retires after 47 years of service
A Lafayette postman has been on the job for 47 years, delivering mail rain or shine. On Tuesday, however, "Postman Jeff" rolled along his route for the final time, and on each street people decorated their mailboxes with signs and words of thanks for all he has meant to their community during his decades of service.
