San Jose ranks third priciest for home affordability in the nation, report finds

Economists say homebuyers should spend no more than 30% of their income on housing. Though, a new report from Realtor.com finds that San Jose is the third priciest market to become a homeowner. Data shows buyers would have to spend 72% of their yearly income on a down payment, just to make the monthly payments affordable.
