A Southern California family has filed a lawsuit claiming that ChatGPT encouraged their 16-year-old son to plan his death in secret. Now, OpenAI says it will implement new safeguards to prevent such interactions, while other tech companies, including Meta, face scrutiny for allowing inappropriate conversations with minors.
